11th European Symposium on Comminution and Classification

The 11th European Symposium on Comminution and Classification took place in Budapest, Hungary, on 9 - 12 th October 2006. The event was organised by the Hungarian Chemical Society. The participants have enjoyed a good technical programme, excellent organisation and an interesting social programme. The papers have been presented on a CD and abstracts are available on paper.

The Working Party on Comminution and Classification has decided at its business meeting on 12 th October 2006 to review the manuscripts and publish them in a scientific journal. Guest editors: Jozef Faitli, chairman, Arno Kwade, Frank Müller and Eric Forssberg.

12th European Symposium on Comminution and Classification (ESCC 2009)

The Working Party Comminution & Classification has decided that the 12 th European Symposium on Comminution will be organised in 2009 primarily to avoid clashes with competing events. The Symposium will be held at the Dipoli Congress Center, Espoo, Finland, from 15 to 18 September 2009 and will be organised by the Association of the Finnish Chemical Societies .

ESCC 2009 brings together individuals from industry and academia who are interested in comminution and classification applications. The symposium offers a platform for contacts between different fields from pharmaceuticals through food processing to heavier applications in mineral processing. Furthermore, the symposium has a strong post-graduate thrust providing research students with the opportunity to present their research to colleagues.
